September 12, 2000 marks the release of the first full-length recording from the South Jersey Rock Band "Mother Redcap". The ten-track disc titled "Up to Now" is part new release part retrospective that chronicles the Band’s unique recorded output of the last few years. According the MRC’s Steve Oakley " Halfway through the sessions we were discussing what to do next and someone brought up re-recording a song we had done a year or so ago. This led to a debate about the merits of re-recording (which we sorta have a rule against) tunes, which of course escalated into heated territory. Finally someone blurted out ‘let’s just put it all out’. So we paid our engineer and went out for a beer".

The band then combed through their considerable archives and selected ten songs that they felt most represented " Where we are and where we’ve been" and the result is "Up to Now". The disc is available on at www.Amazon.com and at retail outlets such as Tower Records and  Full Circle Music
